Agua Fresca de Fresa con Leche or Strawberry Agua Fresca made with milk is similar to a strawberry smoothy or milk shake! It’s creamy and absolutely delicious! Perfect on any day but especially on hot summer days!

1 pints or 1 lb of fresh or frozen strawberries, green leaf removed

2 cups of whole milk

1 can evaporated milk

1 can condensed milk (also known as Lechera)

1 tablespoon of mexican or regular vanilla extract

2 tablespoons of strawberry flavored powder drink mix (examples: koolaid or Klass)

4 cups of water

Optional: ½ lb of fresh strawberries, diced for topping

To a blender add your pint of strawberries, 2 cups of milk, 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 can of condensed milk, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of strawberry drink mix and blend until smooth, about 30-45 seconds.

Pour over a strainer into a jar or pitcher.

To the jar or pitcher with your strawberry liquid add 4 cups of water and stir.

Pour into a glass over ice topped with fresh chopped strawberries and enjoy!

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days

You can leave out the powder mix if you are having trouble finding it. To give it more strawberry flavor you can do 1 teaspoon strawberry extract flavor or add another 1/2 cup to 1 whole cup more of fresh or frozen strawberries.

If it is too sweet add another cup of water to your jar or pitcher.

If it’s not sweet enough add 1/4 cup of sugar and add more as desired.
